In this episode of Hebrew Voices #244 - Daring To Be Different: Part 1, Nehemia brings on Tanakh-only teacher Israel Horowitz to discuss how ancient superstitions became the basis for Rabbinic laws, why arguments based on majority rule contradict the Torah, and how we should be overcoming the rulings of our earthly fathers rather than our Heavenly Father.

Important discussion. Didn’t need the Freudian reference (he was twisted person and I don’t know why people use him as a reference). Its not our parents we have to overcome, its our own evil inclination. Question: how much of the mysticism/Talmud, etc. connected to the Sabbatean Frankist movement is involved in interpretations that drift off from Torah?
I figure if there is anything “written in the stars” it would be because YHVH put it there. And if YHVH wrote something there it would support what he has written in Torah. Because that is how we test all things, by whether they agree with Torah.
