Wow! I am not surprised about thus rather excited!! I believe that this is the hand of Yehovah bringing clarity to His people. We are not to celebrate any religion. All religions are made by man for mankind to elevate a man. No religion honors or elevates Yehovah. We must be in Covenant with Yehovah . Anything else is self absorbed and has nothing to do with a relationship with our Creator. This is just further proof the futility of a religion. Take the Tirah for what it is! It is our covenant connencion to our Heavenly Father. If we are in a religion, we are not in covenant. Thanks again Nehemia for bringing truth.
Waiting eagerly for part 2. Please post soon!
In principle
Christianity is a “Talmud” based. The Torah is not part of there core belief. I realized in 2016 I am more Hebrew not Christian. Been persecuted for believing in Yehoshua is embracing Torah!
I also very much appreciated your enlightening remark about (Isaiah 45:7). We have puzzled about that verse and struggled with it for many years, but in the context you placed it as an affront to the Zoroastrian notion of a good god and an evil one, it made perfect sense. Thank you!
My understanding of the Samaritans is limited at best, but when I first encountered a teaching about them suggesting that they believe that it’s appropriate to worship at Mount Gerizim, that David was a betrayal because Israel was not supposed to have a king; my thoughts went to (I Samuel 8) where it specifically states that their request for a king was a rejection of God. I surmised from that, that Israel may have been divided at that point over the request for a king because clearly divisiveness between the north and south was already present in the subsequent conflicts between Saul and David.
I was also taken by your comment about them reversing the mount from which they were blessed with the mount from which they were cursed. I happened to notice that (Deuteronomy 27:12) has the Levites among the tribes blessing people from mount Gerizim, but then (Deuteronomy 27:14-26) has the Levites listing curses for all kinds of things even though vs. 13 says the curses are to be pronounced from Mount Ebal. Maybe that is how the Samaritans came to reverse it?
Tremendous conversation which I will play over and over again. I am a follower of Yeshua, but I am not a Christian. I try to f0llow Moses because Yeshua followed Moses. If Israel Horowitz wants to lead a Torah study I want in.
