Thank you once again Nehemia for such an informative and thought provoking conversation. I have learnt so much from your teachings/pearls over the years that I’ve been following you and I’m still learning. May it always be. May YeHoVaH continue to bless you, Lynell, your family and your ministry ❤️
Don’t know if the previous post made it. Its “ counted”…means accredited too…..counted as a just person. Like a credit card. Because he trusted. he got the credit to his account.the law was perfect showing up our sinful nature also simultaneously a credit system with animal sacrifices because these were a mans most valuable assets in ancient times…pointing towards the need for a true real final payment, based on mercy.we dont have that kind of loot….not humans. Not by works of law because its so perfect it shows us up as deserving of death…..but built into the law is the basis for mercy as well,,,trusting, trying, believing and striving…..like Abraham ,,,it gets accredited until final payment comes and fulfills that aspect of the laws requirements.. purpose. Trust is probably a better translation than faith….these days faith has a more abstract meaning…..trust is much closer to the reality….look at the great cloud of witnesses and its clear its talking of what we today call trust. …ex i believe a train is coming…I trust that statement, moving me to get off the tracks….action…..Noah trusted YeHoVaH’s Words and constructed an ark…..his trust and striving counted as creddited righteousness.
It ended right as it was getting good! We still don’t know what it means to have faith! Or to live by it! Or to be perfect. But this concept of it was counted to Him for righteousness gives the I terpretation that Yehovah understands our weaknesses and accepts our repentance as long as we continue having faith in Him and obeying His Torah the best we can. I needed to hear this message today. Thank you so much! I hope to hear part 2 of this study. I listen to this podcast at work and it literally gets me through my day. Thank you Nehemiah and Yehovah bless you for your work.
